Plant Care & Growing Tips

Caring for your rose live plant involves understanding its specific needs to ensure vibrant growth and abundant blooms. Proper site selection is crucial; choose a location that receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day. Good air circulation is also important to help prevent fungal diseases. When planting, dig a hole that is twice as wide as the root ball and just as deep. Amend the soil with organic matter to improve drainage and fertility. This pink rose plant thrives in well-draining, slightly acidic to neutral soil (pH 6.0-7.0).

Watering is key, especially during dry spells and the plant’s establishment phase. Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged; overwatering can be detrimental. Deep watering encourages roots to grow deeper, making the plant more drought-tolerant. Fertilize your fragrant rose plant regularly during the growing season with a balanced rose fertilizer, following the product’s instructions. Pruning is essential for shape, health, and encouraging new blooms; remove dead, damaged, or crossing branches, and deadhead spent flowers to promote continuous flowering. While this is a disease resistant rose, regular inspection for pests and diseases will help catch any issues early. Protect the plant during winter in colder climates by mounding soil or mulch around the base.
